The goal of American West College (AWC) is to provide quality career education to students who wish to pursue occupations.

Our Diploma or certificate programs are as follows:

Medical Assistant (MA 900 hrs, occupation such as hospital administrator, 31-9092),

Massage Therapy (MT 800 hrs, occupation such as physical treatment, 31-9011), and

Nursing Assistant (NA 150 hrs, occupation such as nursing aide, 31-1131).

Massage Therapy

The Massage Therapy Certificate Program at American West College offers students a hands-on approach to learning the art and science of massage therapy.

This program covers essential techniques, anatomy and physiology, client communication, and business practices.

Students will learn various modalities of massage, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage, all aimed at promoting relaxation, stress relief, and overall wellness.

Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to take certification exams and begin their careers as licensed massage therapists, working in a variety of settings such as spas, wellness centers, and medical offices.

Graduates of the Massage Therapy Certificate program can pursue careers as licensed massage therapists in settings such as spas, wellness centers, chiropractic offices, and sports facilities.
